P6/7 have been learning all about the Eatwell Guide and how important fruit and vegetables are in our diet. To encourage children to eat more fruit, they designed their own smoothies for P4/5. After surveying the class to find out their favourite fruits, they came up with their own smoothie sensations which they pitched to P4/5. There were 5 altogether - The Good Stuff, Super Smoothies, The Red Ones, Bad Berries and Tropical Sun Smoothies. P4/5 tasted the smoothies then marked them out of 10 for appearance, taste and texture. The winning smoothie was The Red Ones by Jane, Amelia, Kelsey and Mason. All pupils had great fun making and tasting the smoothies and thank you to Miss McCurdy, our student teacher, who helped in both the peparation and clearing up.
