P6/7 enjoyed being aerospace engineers for the day thanks to RAF and the Smallpiece Trust. The children worked to make a rocket that would travel the furthest. They tested the launch angle and the payload to find the best option for their rockets.
P4/5 have been working hard collecting pom poms in their classroom and mamaged to collect enough to earn their next treat on Friday 28th January. The class had decided that they would like to come to school in their pyjamas and bring a teddy with them for the day. Our school day was normal with our usual lessons with the exception of wearing their comfy pjs for the day!
Well done P4/5. Now to start collecting for your next class treat!

We all enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner today. The children designed their own placemats while they were waiting. Thanks Geraldine in the kitchen, the lunchtime supervisors and to everyone else for all their hard work in making this day possible.
We were very pleased to have Eve (E3 Schools worker, SU), Robert and Rev. Blue join all classes to share a Christmas R.E. lessons. The children really enjoyed these fun, interactive lessons which reminded them of the real meaning of Christmas.
We were delighted that P7 children received their P7 Leaver’s hoodies a little earlier than expected. They have enjoyed wearing them.
Well done to all the children who have been working hard on their reading throughout another half term. We were delighted to present certificates for Accelerated Reading and ReadingEggs. Awards were also presented for children who had 100% accuracy in all their reading quizzes and the top five children in P4/5 and P6/7 according to the final percentage of their target they obtained. The AR cup was presented to Hana with 104 points. Well done!
We were delighted to enjoy a carol service in Rasharkin Presbyterian Church (kindly granted) on Wednesday evening. The children preformed poems, songs and readings. Everyone agreed they did very well. Thank you to everyone who worked hard to make this possible.
Today panto came to school as we watched an online pantomime in our our classs bubbles (P3, P4/5 & P6/7). This was a live Youtube premiere provided by Southern Regional Collage (SRC) Performing Arts Department. The children all enjoyed the Christmas songs and the cheering along that comes part and parcel with a panto atmosphere.
P4/5 and P6/7 took it in turns to plant out our winter bedding plants at the front of the school. This really helps to brighten up the entrance to our school. Well done boys and girls- you were all very green fingered and made a great job of it.
